The purpose of this practice-based training activity is to prepare pharmacists with comprehensive knowledge, skills, and enhance practice through a didactic component and a practice experience component.  Participant is required to use the most current Consultant Pharmacist Handbook: A Guide for Consulting to Nursing facilities, 5th Edition for the guided questions in the home study component. Preparing for a Consultant Pharmacist Career is an innovative, intensive, and practice-based continuing pharmacy education activity developed by the New Jersey Pharmacists Association [NJPhA] and the NJPhA Academy of Consultant Pharmacists.

The purpose of this practice-based training activity is to prepare pharmacists with comprehensive knowledge, skills, and enhance practice through a didactic component and a practice experience component.  

The didactic and practice components provide information related to the Consultant Pharmacist Handbook: A Guide for Consulting to Nursing facilities, 5th Edition, and practical case discussions. The home study contains guided questions, and chapter post-tests for which the Consultant Handbook is required and it is purchased separately.   Additional laws and regulations may vary by state, and such content may not be reviewed in this course.  The book (Consultant Pharmacist Handbook: A Guide for Consulting to Nursing facilities, 5th Edition) can be purchased online.  The home study question sequence is based on the chapters in the 5th Edition.  Please be sure you purchase the 5th edition [https://med-pass.com/pharmacy/consultant-pharmacist.html].  On ocassion, the book distributor has limited supply.  Order early.

Coffee, light breakfast items and lunch will be provided. 

Prepare for the next CCP certification test (The test is May 9, 2025 and separate registration through the Joint Board is required) and earn 16 credits through this self-study and virtual live program.  Space is limited

Cancellations: registration cancelled after the program begins is not eligible for a refund.  Registrations cancelled by April 15, 2025  are elligible for a refund minus a cancellation fee of $100.  Refunds are processed after the program
